Remote Online Notarization allows you to have documents notarized via a secure video call without leaving your home or office. Using remote commissioning technology, our notary verifies your identity, witnesses your electronic signature, and applies a digital notarization stamp ΓÇö all in real time. This service is ideal for bank forms, vehicle transfers, affidavits, statutory declarations, and any document that requires commissioning.
What You'll Need
- Computer or Tablet with Camera and Microphone ΓÇö a desktop, laptop, or tablet with a working webcam and microphone for the video call
- Stable Internet Connection ΓÇö a reliable broadband or Wi-Fi connection for uninterrupted video
- Valid Government-Issued Photo ID ΓÇö Canadian passport, driver's licence, or PR card (you will show it on camera for identity verification)
- Your Documents ΓÇö digital copies (PDF) of the documents you need notarized, uploaded or emailed before the session
- Email Address ΓÇö for receiving the secure signing link and completed documents
Step-by-Step Process
- Book your remote session ΓÇö submit your request online or call us. Provide a description of the documents and your preferred date and time.
- Upload your documents ΓÇö send digital copies (PDF) of the documents via email or our secure upload form. The notary reviews them in advance for completeness.
- Receive your video link ΓÇö you will receive a secure video meeting link and signing instructions by email before your appointment.
- Join the video call ΓÇö connect at the scheduled time using your computer or tablet. Ensure your camera and microphone are working.
- Identity verification on camera ΓÇö the notary will ask you to hold up your government-issued photo ID to the camera. Your identity is verified in real time.
- Document review and oath ΓÇö the notary walks through the documents with you on screen. If required, you take an oath or affirmation on camera.
- Electronic signature ΓÇö you apply your electronic signature using the secure signing platform. The notary witnesses the signature in real time via video.
- Digital notarization stamp ΓÇö the notary applies the electronic notarization stamp and seal. The entire session is recorded for compliance.
- Receive your notarized documents ΓÇö the completed, digitally notarized documents are sent to you by email as a secure PDF.
